A Little Experiment

i read in this months Everyday Food that you can cook a lot of rice and freeze it. well, after the traditional Good Friday salmon salad and white rice (both made by Titi Janey, who makes the best rice ever hands down) there was lots left over. so i froze it.

two bags, about two cups each

reheated with green rice puree and some poached chicken-delish.

this is what the Easter Bunny (my mom) brought me. Martha Stewart for Wedgwood sugar and creamer set.

more left over flowers-huge hydrangeas in one of my two faux bois (fake wood) concrete planters. i love these planters, and haven't been able to use them yet at the Penthouse (though they are always out somewhere). i know i showed this already, but i added another stem, and it looks much better.

big gardening day tomorrow. stay tuned.....
