Top Secret Photo Shoot Revealed-Garden Variety

you may recall several weeks ago when i went Thrift Store shopping, that the real intent for the trip was to help my friend Wills find costumes for a photo shoot he was working on. well, the shoot successfully took place the day after the Blizzard of 2011, and the results are, in a word, awesome.
inspired by Little Edie Beale and the documentary Grey Gardens (here is a link to an iconic moment, oh, and here's another), the original documentary followed the Aunt and Cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis-the Beales (here is the original trailer) living a reclusive and pretty eccentric life in their crumbling mansion in East Hampton. I've watched the movie far too many times, but love every second of it (this is a rather cool video showing the before, after, and after of the house, now owned by Ben Bradlee and Sally Quinn).
Wills gave the subject a decidedly modern and fashionable twist, while staying in touch with Little Edie's spirit (and sometimes surprisingly fashionable fashion sense). here is a link to his website, full of more wonderful photos. you should also "like" Willyum Photography concept.create.capture on facebook to see all of the photos from the Garden Variety shoot.
great job, Will! now if only i could get him to photograph the Penthouse....
