Seed Starting, Round Two

just a quick update on more seed starting (or seed experimenting, as i am planting several seeds that are rather old, and whose viability i haven't tested). figuring we are in the 6-8 week stage for planting out, i started cucumbers, basil, scallions, melons, and pumpkins.

cucumber seeds look a lot like pumpkin seeds.
i planted all of these in the leftover peat pellets. the morning glories have moved in with the moon flowers.
the little kit has a handy template to keep tabs on what you planted. with the expansion of the garden, i am quite ambitious in my plans for melons and pumpkins. some may also go in the Berry Patch/Cutting Garden, where they can sort of just wander between the rows.
in these old clam shells i mass planted basil ('Spicy Globe' and 'Genovese') as well as scallions.

teeny basil seeds
running out of room for seed starting...unless i move all of the amaryllis.
